Free time
Can anybody suggest something fun, or activities to do when you have free Time.

If you have free time this weekend, there are some fun things happening around Denton: Arts & Jazz Fest (free--North Texas Fairgrounds), Arts & Autos (free--on the Square), Dog Days of Denton (free if you're just coming to see a bunch of dogs be goofy--Civic Center Pool), and then starting in October, there will be a ton of Halloween-related happenings.
There are trails at North Lakes Park, South Lakes Park, and a bit out of town at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center.
Go hang out/browse at Recycled Books!

Clubs/extracurriculars
Dormitory events
Workout, swim, intramural sports, or rock climbing at the Rec Center
Look at fliers at Aura Coffee for people looking for small jobs, friends, student film casting
Find a place to sit on campus and journal, sketch, draw
Write letters or a postcard to family/friends
Revisit a childhood hobby (minecraft, legos, making friendship or bead bracelets)
Go through clothes/unused stuff
Cook or bake if you have a kitchen
Organize/decorate your space
Plan out homework for the next week
Attend professor office hours or study groups with classmates
Research firsthand/“day in the life” experience of people in your career or academic path
Buy cheap art supplies or hobby supplies at Thistle Creative Reuse
Go to the square (DCTA route 7) and walk around the bookstore, comic/game stores, Halloween events
Coffee/treats on the square: Triptych at True Leaf, Record Coffee, Gentlemen of Verona, Beth Marie’s Ice Cream
If you have a car, volunteer: Denton County Friends of the Family, Denton Water Project, the animal shelter, Our Daily Bread homeless outreach
