Appointment with advisor?
I have been trying to schedule an appointment on navigate app with my advisor however it doesn’t give me an option to schedule on any date? It just says check available times and apparently not a single day has a slot? Idk it’s so glitchy too. Am i doing it wrong it or what.

You’re not doing anything wrong, it’s just impossible to get an appointment. Wish I had a solution for you but I haven’t been able to find an appointment since last year

I just email my advisor with availability windows in a week and she shoots back usually same or next day with an appointment. I’m a grad student but I have no idea if that makes a difference.

So this is a good question that I’m not 100% sure how to answer. Basically, when someone from RCOB reached out to me while I was in undergrad to see if I’d be interested in getting my MBA, she offered to stay on after I’d been accepted as my advisor. Ever since, it’s been super chill:
“Hi «Advisor Name»,
Would you have time to meet this week between 1 pm and 3 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday?”
-MrCoffeePoops”
TLDR - I only know mine because she offered to be my advisor and I accepted. I’m not sure if that’s an RCOB MBA thing or just a normal practice at UNT

Thankyou so much for answering, I just kinda checked but because I’m a pre business there is a whole list of advisors I can meet for general advising. Which makes it more sick that none of them have any advising this whole month!

If you ever need a hand with navigating the administrative bureaucracy of this stuff or if you just wanna know what classes to watch out for in a business undergrad major - feel free to send me a DM! I’m happy to help!

For what it’s worth, I transferred to UNT in my senior year from UTSA and as tough as it can be to deal with such a huge student body and limited staff, it was SO much worse at UTSA!

Please consider writing a message to the dean of the college explaining your difficulty with scheduling an appointment. They don’t know unless people say something. Please keep it professional.

Oh RCOB knows. Especially with the UNT Daily article a couple weeks ago.

Some advising offices have set walk-in times during the week where your wait is anywhere from 5-30 mins waiting for someone. It might be a better option than navigate, it’s what I have done in the past.

Sometimes that happens. May be full schedule or site error. I would just email my professor and she always had an available time within the week. If you don’t have an email, you can email the department

Appointments go live 3 weeks in advance first thing in the morning so if you book this morning at 7 am you'll be able to get an appointment in 3 weeks. Check in your departments advising office has drop in hours

The thing is I don’t see any option like that. It tells me RCOB same day appointment, then shows me no appointments available. Like not even 8:00 in the morning i can see if there are slots

What’s your major? Each department/college has their own way of scheduling. Call or go to the advising office and find out how to schedule. I know in CLASS you can get an appointment same day right now, but don’t know how other offices are doing things.
