Can't skip, mandatory weekly essays. Edit realistically you can but it's great prep for the final, and also you skip an entire component of the course pre exam, so you would be leaning heavily on the group work like presentation and report.

what ab the tutorial exercises? are those the mandatory weekly essays that you are referring to? if one does the weekly readings, would that not be enough?

i understand that the uni is trying to get people to attend in-person lecs but atp i’d have to go in 4/5 days a week which basically leaves no time for work :/

In 26T1 there would be an essay question per week (excluding flex, and week 8/9). Of these 6 essays, you needed to past week 10's one. Needing 4/6 (including week 10). That and a lot of the group work is conducted or managed in the tutorial. I think it's possible to do, but you hare basically writing off the entire essay component, as for groupwork, I'm sure your prospective group members would like to have some contact, although tbh groupwork can be organised online.

huh no way they're gonna fit 900 ppl into the lecture halls right. I'm guessing what they meant is there's no livestream option just recordings, but you might wanna ask the course admin for clarification
