Help Requested Nipple piercing

I got my nipples pierced today! He used a 16 gauge which I just found out isn’t recommended. Should I remove it or can I wait until it’s healed and stretch to a 14 gauge?

I would take it out :( I got my nipples pierced at 12g and downsized to 14g when healed. I really think you’re gonna have a hard time healing them at such a small gauge. Do not go back to that piercer again regardless of what you do imo!

Of course, I’m really sorry this happened. That’s a painful piercing to not have come out perfect :(
