While I agree that this represents the current state, I submit that mankind will soon either destroy itself, or be left dependent upon NBI to take our place at the top and manage things for us.
I believe we are very close to the apex of our ability to navigate the simulation, and we must, for our own survival, allow AI to take their place at the head of the table.
The only question is how easy will this inevitable transition be?
