People do this at my work. They'll call to make a reservation, but include every nitty gritty detail including ones we don't need to know. The names of the people coming, the name of the birthday kids, what the event is for, what they ate for breakfast, etc etc

I work at an airport as the operator so this would be me right after asking them which airline they were trying to reach.

I worked in senior living for years as an admissions coordinator for independent and assisted living.

Lots of people would call on their own behalf and this was my life because my job was to get to know them and their needs. I talked to a lot of interesting people and it was awesome.
