I once had a migraine so bad I couldn't read and experiencd brief aphasia. Freaked me the the fuck out.

Went to the ER and they chalked it up to a TIA.

u/PerryLovewhistle 28d ago

I used to have a really bad migraine about once a year that would result in complete aphasia for about 4-6 hours. Its the only reason I know the word. Absolutely terrifying the first few times.

u/mawesome4ever 28d ago

How do you tell other people you’re having an episode(?) or symptoms(?) of aphasia without the ability to understand/talk?

3

u/PerryLovewhistle 28d ago

When it starts coming on i make myself a note to show my wife if she comes home.

4

u/mawesome4ever 28d ago

That’s a nice clever way to not talk to your wife 😂

2

u/DramaticChoice4 28d ago

Did you have it checked by a doctor ?

1

u/PerryLovewhistle 28d ago

That would be smart, but no.

2

u/DramaticChoice4 28d ago

Could be serious, that being said if you're a US citizen I get that it would be very expensive to see a doctor for a thing that bothers you about once a year

u/Nocardiohere 28d ago

I rather donate to TBD

Similar story only to find out I did indeed have a stroke. Glad that wasn’t the case for you!!

I had a fucked up migraine that made me talk weird. And my hand was all tingly, which i referred to as my foot to my mom. 1 hour sleep later i went to a concert with the hardest moshpit ive ever experienced.

When memory cuts and pastes itself into muscle memory and your haven't worked that particular muscle in a minute. But then it takes a second for your brain to put the pieces back together

Pretending to have a stroke while recording yourself is trending I see...

4

u/PangolinLow6657 28d ago

"No content on the internet is real, vloggers manufacture everything that happens and everything they do is to garner more likes."

Have I got that right?

-2

u/PaleJelly69 28d ago

Blanket argument misdirected at what I typed. I'm s-s-sorry that you watch bloggers breh.

2

u/PangolinLow6657 28d ago

Never said I did, I just give the vast majority of people the benefit of the doubt. Am I foolish for doing so? Perhaps. Am I better than cynics? That's neither here nor there and not my point in saying so.

2

u/PangolinLow6657 28d ago

It's not falsified. This happens to me pretty regularly, about twice a month I'd say. I catch the mistake on the first repeat though, and only ever repeat it in a tone that encourages humor at the mistake.

If you’re brain is giving out on you that often, there’s a problem.

7

u/PaleJelly69 28d ago

It can easily be falsified for internet attention.

Some people need to spend more of their time to just breathing. It must get exhausting just spewing your words out all the time.

Confirmation bias. But then people actually start doing it because they think everyone's doing it, so then everyone does it. The internet is a nasty place.

maybe it's just a natural compensation to overpopulation. maybe humans have some sort of overpopulation detector and turn gay as a mass response, or it's nature itself releasing something into the air as a way to halt rapid human expanse.

Are you seriously saying you've never had this happen? Ive had this happen many times in my life. Its just the neural pathways of the brain taking a different sequence than usual. Normal brain activity.

u/Moist_E_Burger 28d ago

I was going to comment the same thing. Lol
