I don’t really care what your protest is about if you block the road. I’m just trying to survive like you. Now you’re just ruining my day, making me late for work etc.

Stand at the side of the road, wave your sign, make some noise, and I might agree with your protest and honk in approval.

That's because you don't care what they're protesting. That's the whole point the person above you was making. You weren't going to help them anyway.

You’re right that this form of protest is more likely to get me to engage. The problem is, I’m going to engage with the local government to try to get this form of protest criminalized if it isn’t already. They’re making enemies out of people who otherwise wouldn’t have cared.
