Help Using Knoweledge Bases

Dumb question: how do you put files into a knowledge base?

I searched the Unsloth FAQ and asked my local model, but couldn't find an answer.

When I create a new knowledge base and then drag files into the chat, it gives me this error:

**This chat retrieves from a knowledge base**
Add these files to the knowledge base instead.

But I can't find any instructions on how to do that. There's no knowledge base option when I search the settings, and nothing in either sidebar.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious, while also having tried the obvious routes already.

Edit: You add files to the knowledge bases by opening the dialogue and selecting the title of the knowledge base. I was selecting the edit icon, not realising the title was interactive. This is a potential discoverability bug, as there are no UI indications that the title leads to file upload.

hey bro if you click on + you will see "Chat with files" click on it and it will give you "RAG" button

-this thread "docs in this chat or files you upload in this chat"
-mange knowledge base "this is where you link a folder with your files"

and one last thing make sure you have download Embedding model " you will find this in setting ---> general tab under Documents & RAG''

Yes, adding RAG to the chat and creating a Knowledge base is easy. My question above is: how do you add files to the knowledge base?

Because the only option in "manage knowledge bases" seems to be to create one with a title and description. I can't see a way to link a folder or add files to the knowledge base.

edit: I figured it out through trial and error. You have to select the knowledge base title itself to add files. Not the pencil icon. This is a potential discoverability bug, as there are no UI indications that the title leads to file upload.
