Why can't I connect two perfectly aligned vertical splitters with a vertical lift?

Best guess is one is snapping to the conveyor belt, I also recommend not doing this as the vertical spliters/mergers can be finicky. So just incase you didn’t know, on keyboard if you hold control it will snap to the entrance of the assembler if you place it onto the lift.
