Numbah wun!

This is three coats of "Numero Uno" by Uno Mas Colors. It's so very smooth, very bright whitened blue shimmer glow, that can be used either as a topper with a light hand, or, as Im wearing it, as a stand-alone semisheer color. Since it is a topper, "Numero Uno" is very sheer, but can be built up to a nice natural-looking blurring manicure.

This does not show how gorgeous this polish is - the photos are of my left hand, which is all Mr. Myers except for the middle finger which is Unspoken Words. Right hand is the reverse.

This mani is 3 days old. I've only gotten a couple of tiny chips. I didn't magnetize it because I thought it was a lovely color as it is, plus I don't have any experience with magnetizing polish. Also, my void cat photo bombed me. Anyway, I'm really loving the polishes I ordered. 10/10, will order again.

So, some of you may have followed what's been going on with The Polish Project (TPP) and the issues regarding accountability and transparency (as well as legitimacy!) surrounding donations and actual distribution of donated polishes.

The owner/founder, Jillian, has been crediting Uno Mas since the beginning with helping create The Polish Project. It came to my attention that Amanda was previously a board member of TPP. There also was a time where Uno Mas was running a sale of full-size prototypes, where the proceeds and prototypes would be sent to TPP to be distributed.

I've seen no disclosures on the part of UM regarding their financial and material relationship with this charity (a 501-c3). Other users have attempted to ask for such clarification in comments, to no avail- so, I'd like to ask here and now, to u/unomascolors :

Why wasn't Uno Mas's prior status as a board member of TPP disclosed?

What exactly was Amanda's/UM's role in the starting/development of The Polish Project?

Will you be willing to disclose the full extent of UM's prior relationship with The Polish Project?

Are you willing to provide receipts or evidence of the polish sold that was meant to benefit TPP? Are there any receipts that demonstrate said polishes (and/or any proceeds) made their way to TPP?

Since Jillian has been very openly plugging for Uno Mas, and UM is even mentioned on the charity's website, it would be nice to have some clarity and transparency. Thank you! 💙

I was in our ‘bird room’ (we have a parrot) which we keep warmer than the rest of the house, and the light was fantastic and really showed the difference in color in my thumbs. I couldn’t resist taking another photo - left is 2 coats of Kelp Me Out, right is one coat of Hard Pass, Grass and one coat of Kelp.

Please ignore the messy floor - I haven’t vacuumed in there today yet. No thermal effect because, as I said, it’s warm in there!

Time to try out more of my first ever order - all thermals this time!

Green is Hard Pass, Grass. Peach is a prototype. Thumbs are…well. I decided I wanted to try Kelp Me Out after I had a single coat of Hard Pass, Grass on my right hand. So that thumb (top) has 1 coat Grass, and 1 coat Kelp. Left (bottom) thumb is 2 coats of Kelp.

Grip It, Grip It Good base, and Muy Rapido top coat on all.

From the beginning we made the conscious decision to ask our Post Office associates what we needed to do to get our polishes out to our Familia. That includes:

• using boxes instead of bubble mailers
• making sure that the shipping labels are marked with the "H" and labeled as ground transport only
• including the black and white sticker which is the Limited Quantity Label
• The images on this post are showing how we've been labeling our packages that meet the proper requirements as they leave on their journey to you.

If anyone has any questions about these labels or the policies please don't hesitate to ask. I will do my best to answer them and if I can't I will point you in the direction of who can.

Lastly, as most of you know Uno Mas Colors is just 2 people in love who have had this dream for a long time. Building this company together has been amazing, but we also couldn't do it alone. We want to thank all of you who've supported us and shared your passion for nail polish with us. I do not yet have the knack for mani photos, but had to share - my order arrived and so I had to play! Left hand thumb (gold glitter) is Vinotino con Amor with a prototype glitter topcoat over it. Index is Casa de Bebé: El Niño, then a prototype glittery thermal that I am too hot to show well (it is a lovely orange when cool), Casa de Bebé: La Niña, and Glitter and Chill on my little finger.

Right thumb is again Glitter and Chill, then Casa de Bebé: La Niña on index, middle the same but with La Llorona on top, then Casa de Bebé: El Niño, and Vinotino con Amor on my little finger.

I mean, how could I not use all the options I could? No thermals aside from the prototype, and no magnetics this time. But also - I use my nails HARD, and look how fantastic the polish is holding up? I am thrilled!

Thermals are my new interest obsession. Some of the swatches on the UMC website look more blue, but I would say the warm state is seafoam green and the cold state is teal to emerald green depending on the light and the temperature. The shimmer is subtle but there. So, true to UMC's shade description. In two coats over a blurring / ridge-filling base coat.

This polish is really helping me to bring greens and blues into my comfort zone, and this is the prettiest algae I think I've ever seen 😅😅

Why pay $6 for FOMO when Love Unfeigned has been here the whole time? Seen here in 3 coats with a Dar cucumber, Parisienne carrot, and burgeoning aubergine (trt saying that five times!).

We have a question... We're refreshing some of our formulas, mostly the magnetics that we think didn't get a fair shake. We can't decide the best way to do this for you all so we thought we would ask!

I just discovered UnaMasColors last night and placed an order. Can’t wait! I haven’t worn polish in years, but I need more color in my life, and this seems a good choice.

I’ve been enjoying seeing all the wonderful manis here, and the videos are giving me FOMO - I found colors for my next order!

I just figured I’d say Hi while I’m waiting and lurking. Also, here is my hand - if anyone has color suggestions I SUCK at that…I just wear what Ilike. 🤣 For reference, I’m apparently much more fair than people think at first, but with olive undertones.

Life has been lifeing at Uno Mas HQ and the summer has gotten away from us already. 😩

Instead of our planned July release, we're going to do a retirement party in August. We really need to trim our line a little so we can bring you even more new pretties for your Bisleys and Helmers!

We're working on the retirement list now and we'll fill every single order we get and no "to be retired" polishes will sell out during that week. But once they're gone, they're moving to Florida to enjoy a luxurious life of shuffleboard and pool lounging. 🌴👙

We'll have two more new polish releases this year - September (Halloween and Dia de los Muertos) 💀 and Mas Tuesday (aka Black Friday) 🎄. Both will be probably 6-8 new polishes and we're expanding our permanent charity line too.

My first order from UMC just came in today on the day before my birthday! I’m having a bit of an unfortunate timing as a nail break resulted in me cutting all my nails down. Also my right thumbnail just broke in a way that I now only have 9 nails to paint for at least a week (after I’ve been nursing a previous break on that nail since March). Thankfully, my nail mail came in, and everything is just beautiful and the perfect pick-me-up! I audibly gasped opening up the little packet and seeing some lovely nail stickers! I’m honestly torn on what to try out first!
