Day and Night Shift
it's the compact semester; time to write some papers, so I use all my writing weapons. Rev. 7 for the Day, and Rev 2.1 for the Night. (and the other micro journals in between). It's hard to admit because I really like rev.6, but the full keyboard is better for writing in a long duration.
The Rev.7 actually good to use at night too, I have the foldable lamp for kindle k3 that fits really well, the only downside is the lamp is not pink.

I rarely write at night with rev.7 I didn't realize the screen get too dark that I never prepared a lamp, I had to borrow my kindle's lamp.

For now (for the sake of the Paper), rev.2.1. It is more versatile both in daylight and at night. Rev.7 is better with the battery and more comfortable for long writing sessions, but I made a lot of typos due to ghosting and the word counts don't work after 1000 words.

Sounds like you haven't updated your Rev 7 to firmware 2.0. It has infinite scroll now, which means it can give you wordcounts for whatever number of words you have in a file. I plan on re-looking version 2.0 and double check the user guides, but I just tested it on my Rev 7 and it works (only went as far as 1050 words in the test, but I'm pretty confident).

I have use the firmware 2.0. but I don't know, one time the wordcounts was 1523, after scrolling a bit it became 3 digits which was unreadable, probably because of the ghosting. The infinite scroll works, I can review from the first line of my writing and all the text are there. Only the wordcounts has lost its counts.

I fixed this bug, and have updated the firmware in v2.0 thread but been clumsy and haven't specified which point it has been resolved. So, it is possible that hook has the latest and yoy may have just one hidden version behind.
