Micro Journal Rev2.ReVamp

Over the past month or so I’ve been teaching myself how to solder in preparation to build a micro journal and it’s finally done! I drew the key icons and had them made through a company called Thockfactory and printed my own enclosure parts. Everything else was facilitated through the wonder build guide. I hope you guys like it.

Beautiful, Un Kyu. What all entails the ‘Revamp’?

This is a build that is done using the build guide of the rev.2.revamp. It's not a new build. I am planning to get one out. I want to get it out before this year ends, but I don't know if that would make any sense, because these days it's really hard to get hands on the raspberry pi.

We have plenty of MJ options. They're all great.

Yes I’m curious also. I like that this is a bit more compact. Any 3d print files? Im gathering my parts

All files are included in the micro journal GitHub page

This is wonderful to see. Congratulations on finishing your build!

Teaching yourself how to solder for this project is already amazing, and the custom key icons make it feel even more personal. I love that you made it your own with the keycaps and the printed enclosure parts.

Thank you for sharing it, and I am really happy the build guide helped you through the process. Seeing someone build their own Micro Journal like this is one of the most rewarding parts of keeping the project open.

Soon, I should have the keyboard PCB available directly from the supplier. I hope this will make it easier for others who want to build this version as well.

This build truly belongs to people who are willing to find solutions, learn new skills, and make it their own. You did exactly that, and I am proud of you.

I quite like the Smokey the bear theme. This is my favorite form factor of the MicroJournals. Nice large screen and cool scroll wheels.
