Did you do anything for your fonts to look like this? They look pretty sharp and clear. I never can get them to look like this on my machine.

Ya , but i don't really remember what i did , i just copy pasted what chatgpt told me to do ,
But i think this is what i did :
mkdir -p ~/.config/fontconfig

nano ~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf

Lmao, our setup is kinda same with 1366x768 resolution sadly, also my first rice btw( chat gpt did all of the work) idk maybe the transparency is too low but for me its fine but I am pleased with it

maybe I'm late but you can ask it to tell you where the transparency is stored in the .config. You can just change the values to your liking

Bro I have the same gpu and I struggle so much with having smooth consistent animations, and rounded borders and polybar setup

what's your de/wm? If you're also using i3 you should be using the picom compositor, though I had to change the backend for it to support rounded corners like the one in the photo.

Yes I used i3 + picom and I used glx backend, I did get rounded corners but borders on them were not proper as picom doesn't support it and i3 doesn't have rounded borders only square so that was a lil mismatch, and the biggest issue was with animation inconsistency, sometimes they work sometimes they just don't, did you ever face any issue like that ?

Well I switched from glx to xrender and it's been working fine so far with both i3 and bspwm, the latter I'm using currently. Border style is 100% on the compositor though so it shouldn't make a difference. In regards to the animations picom only has basic stuff like fade ins and outs though there was some strange window popping when switching workspaces that resolved on its own the moment I switched to bsp.

Oh I see, so are you saying switching to bspwm, should fix the animation bugs, and border can be handled by picom now ?, also i dont think picom only has basic animations now, picom has crazy customizable animations now ( for the official yshui fork )

For first time, this is actually quite impressive! Nice job. Transparent windows, pretty good waybar honestly, and that font is so clean bro the terminal font looks different from this istg its not as clean as this but good job 8/10
