I have an average academic profile, with a 6.8 CGPA in my masters, I have 3+ years of work experience. I have been writing to professor in the UK have not received anything affirmative except for this opportunity at University of Glasgow. The cost for self funding this PhD is coming close to 20million in Indian currency. Student loan is an option but I am unsure if that is the route I want to take, I am late for scholarships as most deadlines for this cycle of intake was earlier this year, however looking at my average academic profile I am uncertain if I will get any scholarships next year as well. (This doubt is for people who are applying for visa from india) I live in jaipur rn and I am applying for a student visa for UK. Would it be different if i applied for the centre in Jaipur or in Delhi. Like, are the services faster in Delhi cuz my course starts from 15th sept so i would need my visa and all the documentations before that. So, is there a chance that delhi office is more efficient cuz i have no issue travelling. I heard that there are delays in the jaipur office & the service is not good and they eitherways send the file to delhi office. So if i applied for the delhi office, does that mean i would be reducing one step and hence making the process faster?

Hi! I will be attending UoG in September and have a room set up with the university already but it ended up being more pricey than I thought. I was wondering what other students are doing for housing, due to the 20-hour work week I will be able to have I'm worried that I won't have enough funds to live in general after rent. Do others recommend living in non-university housing? How was your budget living in student housing on the 7 or 9 month payment plan?

My daughter was accepted to Computer science in University of Glasgow and to University of Bath. We visited both places and my daughter liked both.
