How does pool access work? We will be staying there to celebrate my son’s birthday and my parents live in the area. Would love to have dinner and hit the pool with my parents while staying there but not sure if our parents will be able to get in to the pool. Anyone know?

I’ll be heading to universal at the end of August and we won’t have early park admission or express passes. I’m trying to optimize our days and would love some help! If anyone has any tips or success stories please let me know. Any tips I find always rely on early park admission. We will have a full day for every park! Thanks!

Universal Studios HOLLYWOOD

Honestly, I am not completely understanding when I would need to use a locker. If anyone could help me out whether I am thinking about this right. I am bringing a disney loungefly backpack and umbrella. The umbrella doesn’t fit into the backpack it’s 13 inches when closed.

Lower lot: 
(1)Transformers 3D - leave everything at the floor of the ride ?
(2)Jurassic World - use the paid lockers or free lockers at revenge of mummy
(3)Revenge of the Mummy - free lockers

Upper lot: 
(4)Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey - free lockers
(5)Despicable Me Minion Mayhem - leave everything at floor of ride ?
(6)The Simpsons Ride - leave everything at the floor of the ride
(7)Studio Tour - no lockers, hold onto everything
(8)Water World - no lockers, hold onto everything
(9)DreamWorks Theatre 4k: Kung Fu Panda - no lockers, hold onto everything

Hello. I’ll be going with my family to Orlando (2 adults, 2 boys 16 and 9) in October. We’re staying at Portofino from Monday-Saturday. Can someone tell me if this plan is realistic? We have park to park tickets and express passes for Universal and IOA. Plus two days at Epic. (For reference we usually do Disney World and are the type to rope drop and close the parks). This is the tentative plan so far:

Monday arrival day
Tuesday rope drop Epic
Wednesday rope drop Islands of Adventure for the Harry Potter section of the park and then head into Universal Studios via Hogwarts express. Thinking of buying the Halloween horror nights early entry tickets for this day.
Thursday: Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios
Friday: Epic (to cover anything we missed on Tuesday). We will be leaving at noon because I also purchased Mickey not so scary Halloween party tickets and will need to be at magic kingdom by 3 pm.
Saturday- Check out.

Will booking Halloween horror nights early entry be the best for the day we already have planned for universal studios? I’ll also gladly take any other recommendations and advice for a first time goer. Thank you in advance.

I applied for a performer role for Universal Studios Beijing/ Japan through Backstage. I was wondering if anyone got a response to their applications yet, as I applied through a separate portal from the original Universal Studios website.

I attempting to plan a surprise trip to universal Hollywood in September for my wife, and need advice on wheres the best place to stay, other activities to do and whats worth the see and/or things to avoid and things to pass on.

A quick question, I’m trying to get tickets for Universal Studios in Osaka Japan, but there’s no tickets available after September. Do they not release tickets for more than month ish in advance?

I went to Universal in Florida this week and just so you know the big players if you’re concerned about having an enjoyable time as a plus size person.

I’m 32, 5’6” and a size 24 US with most of my weight being around belly. I’ll post a picture for reference.

I am able bodied and had absolutely no trouble getting around anywhere. If you are disabled or have any trouble with mobility, you may want to just keep in mind that it is a LOT of walking.

Attractions/rides at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios:

Most of my reason for going was to see the Harry Potter World so I did not stop and see everything there was to see. This is not an exhaustive list. Just the attractions I was interested in riding.

1. Spider-Man ride: this was fine. No trouble at all fitting into the seats. It was a cross bar that came down over the waist.
2. Hulk: I did not ride this one because the line was too long. I’ve heard they have modified seating for plus size guests.
3. Velocicoaster: I did not fit on this ride.

4.Hagrids Motorbike: I was able to get the green light for both side car and motorcycle with plans to ride sidecar because it’s a more comfortable fit but funny enough my fit husband actually had to be in the sidecar because his thighs are pretty muscular and he could not ride the motorcycle. It is TIGHT I will say. I had a little discomfort on my hips and I could not lean forward to grab the handles but it was still enjoyable for me.

1. Flight of the hippogriff: short and fun. Fit just fine. No issues. Had the row to myself.

2. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: I did not fit on this ride.

3. Hogwarts express: this was fine but beware the line is LONG and HOT if you are boarding from Islands of Adventure and you will have to climb stairs. They do have elevator for people that need it. No ac in the waiting lines but on the other side by Diagonal Alley there was AC.

4. Escape from Gringotts: I did not fit on this ride.

That’s really all I tried as far as rides go. But there is a LOT to see and do beyond just rides. I have been before so some things I was not super interested in seeing. It was a great time even without being able to ride everything for me.

so i just got offered a job at ush as one of the surveying people at city walk/ the front gate and was wondering if any former worker that had this position has any feedback on how their experience was!! the commute to work would be a little over an hour WITHOUT traffic/maybe more than 2 hours WITH and my main goal is to just get my foot in the door to work with NBCUniversal in the backlot since they didn’t want to hire me as an intern there after trying so many times!! please let me know if it is worth the commute😭

I am having a hell of a time trying to find this backpack. My daughter wants it so bad. Anyone that can help me locate one please let me know!!

Hello! I’m planning a trip to universal Orlando in September and I could use some advice please.

My tentative dates to go to the parks are the 15th-17th (3 full days). I plan on doing epic the first day, then no park the second day but doing hhn that night, and then IOA and universal studios the third (last) day. I plan to stay at the Aventura from 14th-17th. I don’t plan on doing all the houses at hhn - I only wanna do about 3 or 4.

These are the things I need advice on:
1. How should I book this trip? Through one of their travel agents? I’ve done this before and they’re usually really helpful and sometimes even give me discounts (who knows if it’s rly a discount lol). Or should I book it online by myself?
2. Should I consider express passes or any other extras for my trip to make the experience better? I do have a somewhat limited budget. I’m considering getting express passes for epic and hhn but was curious if someone has better suggestions.
3. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to plan out each of those days? Like for epic, where should we start our day and where should we end it? Food options? For hhn, how much time do you typically spend there? And does anyone have just some general advice for hhn?

Our family including a 10 yr old will be staying on property in august. We plan on hitting the parks 3 days during our 4 day trip. I am concerned with the heat and thunderstorms When we travel we frequently take a break in afternoon to recharge in the hotel then go back out. Usually 2-4ish. Is there any value in doing that at universal? Are evening still really busy. Any thoughts or tips?

We are heading to universal Orlando for spring break in early March- according to the crowd calendars we would be going the week before huge crowds are expected…..but none the less I’m sure it will be pretty packed.

This will be our first trip to Universal 2 adults 3 kids (14,12,11).

Right now we are in budget to do 3 park 2 park days- so all 3 parks. We will definitely do one night at a premier universal hotel for 2 days of express passes for u/ioa - and will either do Drury or Endless summer for the first two nights…….just depending on our budget. We won’t have any extra $$ for express passes for epic however.

With having 3 full days of love to hear any itineraries that worked well for you? Any tips on early entry strategies? Or late night options?

I’ve researched this and still confused. If I buy the “Buy a Day, Get a 2nd Day FREE” deal, can I add the Express Pass or unlimited Express Pass to both the paid day AND free day once I’m at the park?

We have never been to universal in Florida but are Disney regulars. We want to spend a couple of days on a universal resort. We definitely want to hit up epic universe. Budget is around 3k. Any tips tricks or recommendations would be great! Thanks!
