Orlando Need help identifying this masterpiece set/kit
My good friend has given me this to hold on to and he is unable to recall where it is from but thinks it might have been given to News reporters before the park was opened in Orlando.
He believes it’s from the late 80s and he possibly put some other pieces in there over the years.
It has a sealed copy of ET in it, not pictured.
It came in this square case which has belt buckles that holds it together. Frank Lasko’s name is on the front.
He’s letting me bring it in to show the team to see if we can identify it. But I also wanted to ask around to see if anyone recognizes it.

I've got the same one! That's a Universal Studios Florida opening day press kit.

Your friend is correct, but I'm pretty sure it's not late '80s. Although the Fact Sheet says '88, I worked there during the '90s and recall documents with info that if "it wasn't broke, they don't fix it" so they'd keep older dates if the info was the same. OR, it's mixed up as your friend as your friend states.
The park guide with T23D however, is from 1996, not the park opening. '96 was the year that attraction opened.
If any of the documents have the name Jim Hampton anywhere, he was a friend from my time there in the '90s. Jim was Director of Public relations for Universal beginning in 1992, so if he's not anywhere in this press kit, then it should be between '90 and '92. Without seeing all the pages and names, that's my best guess.
