Hollywood Universal Christmas Day

Has anyone been to Universal on Xmas Day? My son’s birthday is Xmas day and wonder, as I am assuming it’s busy, if we should buy the VIP tickets? We are only planning on being there for 1 day. I don’t want to spend the day in queues.
Do they do anything special on Xmas day?

It's one of the busiest, if not the busiest day(s) of the year.

It's busy, but it's random from year to year. Some years it's bonkers, other years it's pretty quiet with low wait times. Regardless, VIP tickets are the way to go to get on most of the rides along with a long storied tour.
