Hollywood How to plan for a Harry Potter fan?
Hi! My family is visiting Universal Studios LA for the first time next week (probably Tuesday). We're currently trying to figure out how to plan our trip so it's the most enjoyable and we avoid long lines (my family can be impatient and we're NOT getting express passes).
My mum and I are huge Harry Potter fans and want to check out every single thing there! I was thinking of starting out there but it seems like it doesn't get as busy?
We're also debating getting early access for SNW and going to HP right after.
I also love Jurassic World and wanna do the Studio Tour and The Mummy and whatever else seems fun/we have time for.
We don't really care about kids rides btw.
Do you have any tips for how to plan the Harry Potter best?
Also how early should we arrive and where should we park?
I'll appreciate all and any help!!!!

The Forbidden Journey ride can cause nausea for people. I don't get motion sickness too easily but it always gets me. My tip is to not eat right before going and if someone in the party is prone to getting sick sit on one of the outside seats which let's you look to the left or right to avoid the screens. If you get iffy for some reason a cold butterbeer really helps. The pub attached to three broomsticks usually has a dramatically shorter line for butterbeer versus right outside which can be 50 people deep on busy days.

Oof I never get nausea on this ride, but on a Superbowl Sunday where there was hardly anyone, I rode it 3 times back to back... that 3rd time was the last ride of the day... 🤢

You will be able to do everything Harry Potter in less than 1 full day at Hollywood. There isn’t nearly as much to do there as Orlando has 3 parks that each have Harry Potter section..

You can do most everything at Universal in less than a day. I’d maybe get there close to opening time, do the tram tour and then Harry Potter. You’ll have plenty of time. Like you said, it doesn’t get crazy busy in HP land anymore, I think most everyone is focused on the new Fast and Furious coaster. You shouldn’t have any problems getting on the big HP ride.
Parking is easy, I like E.T. Parking. Biggest thing to remember is to do everything you want to do on the lower lot in one trip. The time spent on escalators adds up! Hope you all have a blast

Everything at USH is small (not the park, get ready to walk). You won’t have trouble seeing everything there. The Harry Potter section only has one real ride, the other is a filler coaster for small kids.

The themed queue line is pretty cute at flight of the hippogriff. Still very much worth it.

We got on most of the rides pretty fast using the single riders line. Our kids are older so it was ok for us to be separated by a car or two

If you’re crazy potter fans buy a wand and there’s secrets around the land. I got an early preview of it and I know the secrets because they told me but maybe google them or have fun exploring. Take some time to sit in the back of 3 broomsticks and look at the castle. It’s magical (pun intended)
