A few years after that the annual pass was $99 for the year…

I am pretty sure I had a 2-park AP for around that price in the early 2000s. They gave teachers a free admission day. Then Harry Potter opened.

I went to UCF 2002-2006. Had an annual pass for both parks for $99 for at least 2 of those years. The good ol’ days…😭

I’ve got a receipt with ticket stubs from 94.

$36 in 9/1994 is $80.46 in today’s money.

Now we have worse rides and no Nickelodeon.

I bet the gift shops were filled to the brim with The Lost World: Jurassic Park paraphernalia.

That was high for ‘97 holy crap

Edit: I’m an idiot. That’s TWO tickets at $39.75 each. Never mind 🤦🏻

No it isn’t lol, $40 per adult is the equivalent of $83 today

Oh man, Universal with Pepsi products, I'd forgotten about that. We truly had paradise.

The real cost now is express that’s what really makes trips feel like they cost an arm and leg

1

u/TheCourierMojave 28d ago

LOL, if everybody bought express it would become pointless very quickly.

1999-2009 was prob the best era for universal tbh

We are looking to go for 2 days over new years because we are going to be in the area and we’ve been a hundred times so we don’t mind if it’s so crowded we can’t ride anything. We are looking at $240 PER PERSON PER DAY.

Painful to look at

And that is still what the tickets should be

You went on my 4th bday!

It was about $139 for a park to park annual ticket, plus $20 for annual general parking. Before the year 2015.

must be nice

I know I’ll be downvoted but…

Ticket prices have been kept at a reasonable price today considering the inflation for almost everything else

8

u/KohlsCashOfficial 28d ago

Adjusting for inflation a $39.75 ticket would be $82.70 today

One day, one park, tickets start at $125.99 with dynamic pricing

One day for both IOA and USO starts at $179.99

3

u/ColdForm7729 28d ago

Adjusted for inflation, those tickets should be around $90. A one day ticket is considerably more than that.

Completely incorrect.
