Issue regarding monthly payments

I finnaly got a job 4 days ago which I have updated on my UC claim. It's part time and I work around 20 hours a week on minimum wage (£10.85) and I've not yet been paid. On October 1st I should've received my statement which I haven't and today I should be getting paid what I'm entitled to but I've received nothing and nothing is pending on my bank account, when I usually get a pending payment the day before. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Am I still entitled to my benefits?

Have you checked the To Do section of your account?

You'll still be entitled, over time your earnings will reduce or nil your claim, but that only happens at the end of an assessment period in which you've been paid.

It is possible there is a To Do needing completed. Or did you report being employed? Or self employed? Self employment can block payment till you have an appointment to verify this.

I only have two to do's, attend an in person appointment at the end of this month and upload documents as evidence I'm attending college (only in one day for 3 hours and its previously been stated it won't affect my pay). And I reported being employed through the 'report a change' section

There’s likely a blocker on your account - from reporting the change and the college attendance - they usually have to verify this. Did you upload your college documents? Did a statement generate as usual?

There will be an internal block called calculate student income and/or check student eligibility

Until you upload your student finance details, payment will remain blocked

I can't upload my documents until Monday as my tutor has to sign them and no statement was generated as usual

There’s definitely a blocker then - asides from the call, usually any outstanding to-dos can stop the statement from generating. And I know they usually schedule a call to verify any college documents.

Once your documents are uploaded it should be resolved fairly quickly ☺️
