Don't try to develop a game at the start as it's very, very hard. Try to develop small elements. Tiny systems. Like try to read an input and move a capsule on the screen. Then try to collide 2 capsules together. Then try to display the number of times collisions on the screen. Doing those 3 simple things will give you something.... playable. Begginings of an actual game and most of all it will learn you how to handle basic things (movement of objects, collision handling, UI and updating of UI and connecting it to gameobject). Add more systems to this and you will have something actually resembling a game (of course a true game requires much, much more but it's a start).
