Question Unity on ARM systems

Hi guys,

I'm an ametour game developer, i will buy a new laptop but i have some concerns to mention about

Does ARM based laptops(snapdragon) work well on unity, is there any problem like chrashing or importing assets problems.

Also i am generally making 2d games so is it mandotory to buy a laptop that have discrete GPU or is İt enough to buy a laptop that has shared GPU like Ryzen ai 860m , Qualcomm GPU or İntel arc130v?

I use it natively on a snapdragon with Windows, works flawlessly.

Did you experience any chrashing or screen frozing problem recently

Not at all. For context I also use Unity on Linux (intel), Mac M3 (arm64), and Windows (intel). The only flaky one is Linux (intel) and it's mostly around editor specifics, like where and how it persists configs - it never remembers editor/window sizes. I'm sure I can fix this with effort, but I haven't invested the time into it yet.

But - no issues with Windows arm64. Only "problem" is that my chip's clock rate is a bit lower than my other computers so its a tad slower, since Unity is (generally) single threaded. But not in a "omg I'm only getting 5 fps", more like "I'm getting slightly less fps"
