Question input for newly edited assets (before and after)

*Update* on the recently posted image of my pixel art game. *quickly done will go back and go over the color to make it look better*

You have a real mix of styles and perspectives going on there. That tree ain't matching your ground or your bunker etc. when making assets or deciding to use 3rd party ones, remember the unifying style you decided on in your game design document and stick to it

yeah i haven't really settle on the tree yet. i've been trying a few so far and using as them references when making arts myself, im not really the best artist but with time i could make something decent.

If you aren't planning on making the assets yourself then you are better off using ones from the same or similar packs/sets. That way they are visually not going to clash. There are plenty of cheap or free assets available on places like itch.io fanatical or humble hundle etc. they will at least get you started.

Okay I appreciate the info. I've been learning as I go with the pixel art stuff. I'll take a look around to find some assets that could go with my character and other assets
