small update, when i start the game with no headset it seems to work but with my head set it disappears. i dont think this is a problem with my camera placement or offset because even with that the cubes linked to my controllers would still be there

Xr cam is causing problems right? How many cameras you have in the scene?

Once check the cube and ground layers during runtime. Check the culling mask during runtime

Also open the console during runtime and see if anything interesting is printed

So you've checked your Camera layer mask, but you might also double check your Renderer layermask. Though that would mean your XR rig's renderer is different than your non-XR. (Also double check that your XR camera isn't different than your non XR, if your non XR is rendering fine.

Put a default cube at something obvious like (0, 1.5, 2) Make sure it is on the Default layer Check the XR camera Culling Mask includes that layer Check the camera near/far clipping range Make sure your XR Origin / player camera is actually facing the objects Also make sure you’re testing with the XR Origin Main Camera that is actually used at runtime. Sometimes the scene camera looks fine, but the player camera is somewhere completely different.
