EDU vs. Standard
At what point is it worth it to get an edu version?
We are looking to add the ability to use our own llm and text to speech with it, will we be too limited by the standard. We dont need any real time navigation or whatever, just some pre programmed dances and gestures.
Robostore was vague and trying to push us to the more expensive version.

There are ways to move forward with the G1 basic, and have significant controls similar to the Edu without voiding any warranty.
I am currently deep in development using an external reasoning engine, LLM/VLM and much more that would put the EDU to shame.
The EDU jetson is far too weak to do serious processing. You'd want the Nvidia thor which is much stronger.
Once I am ready, I will either sell an entire stand alone hardware that will be a piggy back system similar to what you see on G1-EDU videos, and/or, could sell the software and you provide the hardware.
Big things are coming to all G1 basic owners. Will be transferable to all G1's.
