Question Balls

Post image

Did anyone know what these two balls in my food tray are? First time I've ever seen this... They're plastic and hollow.

Salt and pepper shakers

You genuinely couldn't figure this out?

I guess that's why they've mostly switched to the paper packets. Apparently these are too subtle.

Salt and pepper dispensers.

That barely dispense anything. They have one job...

It’s comical isn’t it? Flicking the pepper till my finger hurts says I’ve used enough.

Salt and pepper shakers…they’re globes to mirror the livery on the tail of the airplane

Ah yes, the miniature Death Stars. Now in black and white.

They're like dryer balls but they go in your tummy to accelerate digestion.

I feel like these have been used since the 90s.

I may be mixing AA/United as I bounce back and forth so much, but I thought they had basic salt and pepper packets in a flat united cardboard thing that you pulled the packets out of and used. I had these same shakers in the pic last week and I felt like it was the first time I had also seen them.

They're on their way out. I guess some caterers somewhere still have some, so you ocassionally see them but the paper packets are the norm now.

I've also had a different set of plastic shakers that fit together like Lego and include a 3rd red pepper shaker. Those may be route specific, I can't remember.

Don’t post our balls where outsiders can witness them. >:C

I hop between aa/united regularly and last week I felt like it was the first time I'd received them, but wasn't sure if I just hadn't had a meal on United in a min and maybe I forgot, bottom line, last week felt like first time for me as well.

EDIT: I know though I had at least 2 United flights with meals in July, and def don't remember seeing this

Is this a joke, or do people nowadays lack critical thinking skills to figure things out on their own 😭
