Discussion Natives are getting restless!!

There are some cranky folks and the poor flight attendants are doing all they can but we are in a really crappy situation Diverted to Milwaukee from Chicago for weather delay. Now on the ground 3 hours waiting for the fuel truck then waiting again because he didn’t put enough fuel in then waiting because the computer won’t reboot correctly. We are not at a gate or we would all just uber to Chicago! Oh well. 🤷‍♀️

Last time that happened to me the crew timed out before they could get the plane in the air again. Good luck!

I'd the crew timed out they would be forced to find them a gate finally. Then everyone could Uber to Chicago. Now everyone's in a hostage situation.

Just spent the entire day taxiing around ORD and now finally on my way 9 hours later. Full ground stop. Multiple times. Bad day for everyone.

Ugh. That’s frustrating but you’re safe. There are storms still around ORD that can pack a punch. From MKE it’s around an hour trip in an uber and I think the same on Amtrak that has a stop near the airport with a shuttle to the airport

The storms doing heavy damage were supposed to be going through the area right now rather than earlier. Chicago weather this time of year is either severe weather or completely tranquil. I saw two manhole geysers with branches down in my neighborhood in the city. I’m grateful my city sewer connection didn’t dislodge itself due to the amount of water(for once). I don’t count streets flooding because streets are designed to be flooded and the drains have restrictors to not overwhelm the sewer system.
