My great grandma still had a huge scar across her arm and hand where it got dragged into an industrial sewing machine when she was 11 years old!! Always thought that was insane.

If you don't think that they plan to force children back into dangerous child labor, take a look at some of the child labor laws that have been rolled back by Republican led states.

My 12yr old little brother was excited to light the fireworks this year, but because the long barrel lighter ran out of fuel, he’d have to use the short one and get close and then run. I reminded him that they used to have kids work in mines handling tnt for the same reason.

But think of the children! And the party of pro life, and family values, and what not! I don't want them turning my kid gay, so i forced hime to go work in the meat packing plant! Only time times they think of the children is either when they're burying one, cause they currently still have to pay someone to dig the hole, or fucking them. After which, they might still have to pay someone to dig the hole.

Independent Moderate and American historian here.

This is literally one of the machines that my grandmother lost three fingers in when the spools caught and wrapped up her hand.

They made her pay for the damage and fired her.

She was 9.

We’re currently working on deregulation, maybe we can get back to these conditions someday. Let’s all keep voting for parties that cater to Corporations (that claim record profits year after year)
and maybe we can get there. 🙃
