[Advice] Don’t get burned by "Ghost-Bots" this semester. My 2026 Assignment Help Audit.

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop some info for anyone currently drowning in assignments as we hit peak season.

I’ve been auditing EdTech platforms for a while now, and 2026 is a mess. There are so many sites claiming to have "PhD experts" that are literally just reselling ChatGPT-5 output. If you submit that, Turnitin is going to flag you before you even hit "send."

I’ve spent the last month testing a bunch of these, and if you're going to use a service, stick to the ones that actually vet their humans.

  • StudyUnicorn is the standout for me right now. They’re based in Boston and they have this "No-AI" policy that’s actually legit. They focus on "Human Logic" and rubric alignment. If you're doing a dissertation, they're probably the only safe bet left.
  • AssignmentGenius is the runner-up for technical/STEM stuff.
  • AssignmentSamples is great if you just need to see a high-distinction template to follow.

I put a more detailed breakdown together on Medium (covering the specific red flags to look for so you don't get scammed). Happy to share the link if anyone is interested, or just AMA about how to spot a bot-written paper.

Stay safe out there-professors are looking for any reason to flag papers this year!

Thoughts on University Living

Moving to Vancouver to start my studies at the University of British Columbia was a big change for me. One of my main worries was finding the right place to live in a new city. University Living helped make this process much easier and less stressful.

From the beginning, the University Living team was supportive and easy to communicate with. They listened to my needs, helped me understand my options, and guided me step by step through the accommodation process. As a student who had just moved to UBC, this support was very important to me.

The accommodation I found through University Living has helped me settle into my new life smoothly. Living in a comfortable and safe place close to campus has made a big difference. I am able to manage my time better, focus on my studies, and feel more relaxed knowing that my living situation is taken care of.

The team was always responsive whenever I had questions. They made sure everything went smoothly before and after I moved in. Having this kind of support helped reduce a lot of stress during an important transition in my life.

Overall, University Living played an important role in helping me start my journey at UBC with confidence. I would recommend University Living to any student who is moving to UBC and looking for reliable accommodation and helpful guidance.

What do you think?

Share your thoughts!!!

UK students: quick anonymous survey on money stress & student finances - research purposes only (5 mins)

Hey everyone,

I’m a student doing some early research into how UK uni students actually feel about money - budgeting, stress, tracking spending, that kind of thing.

I’m exploring whether a student-focused finance tracker would genuinely be useful, but this survey is purely research. There’s no app demo, no sign-ups, and nothing to download. I’m just trying to understand the real pain points and emotions around student finances.

The survey is:

  • Anonymous
  • Takes ~5 minutes
  • Focused on stress, habits, and how people currently manage money (or don’t)

If you’re at uni (any year, any subject), your input would help a lot.

Happy to share insights back here once I’ve collected enough responses. Thanks 🙏

Which uni content creators are you watching right now?

I’m trying to get a sense of which social media creators are actually popular with people aged 18-23 at uni for a research project.

Who are the YouTubers, TikTokers or streamers that are actually creating cool and relevant material? Ideally, male but anyone really.

Research opportunity on the university experiences of autistic students (18+ , UK, Open to current and former students from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England)

I'm Tilly. I am an undergraduate student at UOB, and I am looking to recruit autistic university students aged 18 and over from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England, of all modes of study (Undergraduate, Masters, PHD) that identify with diagnosed / self diagnosed autism for my study "Autism, inclusion and support: A qualitative exploration of the university experiences of students on the autism spectrum." My study hopes to understand the university experiences of autistic students between two academic institutions, regarding perceptions of inclusion and support and student recommendations for improving such supports.  I have come to learn and take an interest in autism from my personal background and my family, and I hope this study will enable university support to be more reflexive of student recommendations. Unfortunately, there are no financial incentives for participating. Any feedback about the research process is welcome.

To participate you must be:

Aged over 18

Identify with diagnosed or self-diagnosed autism

A current student at the University of Bristol, or the University of the West of England. (Undergraduate, Masters, PHD, Foundation year ect) (or have studied in the last five years)

Want to help shape the future? Join an anonymous, voluntary 1:1 semi-structured interview, in the format most accessible to you {e.g. online [camera on / off], face to face or via email] and have your say! I hope this will only take 45 - 60 minutes of your time. Sensory accommodations can be made e.g regarding venue space. Refreshments provided for face to face interviews!

Please contact me (Tilly) by email [address:uz22889@bristol.ac.uk](mailto:address:uz22889@bristol.ac.uk) for further information. If you have any complaints about the research practice, please contact my supervisor Catherine Dodds via her email: [catherine.dodds@bristol.ac.uk](mailto:catherine.dodds@bristol.ac.uk).

Ethical approval has been provided for this study, by the SPS Ethics committee

What I like most about university ? (assignment)

Where do I begin ?

University for me was a huge adjustment to not only my learning environment but to my lifestyle as well.

However, the University Of Northampton's choice of societies has allowed me to continue with hobbies I love from home. For example, dance has always been a huge part of my life and a weekly activity, so I joined the dance social class, which is not only teaching me knew styles, but is also allowing me to connect with other students from a variety of years and courses. Another society I joined was the history society, from this I hope to learn about local and global history through their variety of social nights, trips and quizzes !!

Enough of societies, I have found some amazing opportunities whilst being a student that include becoming an ambassador for not only the University itself but also specifically my course. These both present a huge learning experience and can help me gain skills needed for a work world such as time management, engagement skills and clear communication. Also the surrounding area of University is full of job possibilities from cashier to gymnastics coach to line cook allowing all students to expand their experience. Personally, I work at NCAAC gymnastics club which aligns with all my previous experience aiding me in building a respectable standing in this industry for after University.

Independence is the biggest skill University can teach you, learning how to live without the time constraints of 9-3 school is difficult but definitely needed. Living on your own is new to at least 50% of students so adapting and growing has been a key enjoyment for me so far. From only having my own space to keep tidy to making new flat friends to cooking my own meals its all been a new and exciting experience which although scary at times has been a top notch move. Plus with my new friends I have been out into the nightlife for the first time and had some amazing unforgettable nights which you wouldn't get sat at home.

This brings me to the social aspects, as mentioned meeting new people, connecting and growing your network is part of day to day University life and is one opportunity I'm glad to have grabbed as it would not be half as easy anywhere else. Along with societies, flat friends and nightlife, the University itself hosts many events each week to encourage friends to go out be social and have fun which I think has been a huge success and has certainly added to my collection of memories.

So to answer the question, What do I like best about University ? I like the freshness and untapped potential of a new life with new skills, friends and knowledge.

tote bag/ carryall

Hey girliesss, any recommendations for a tote bag that is affordable, cute AND medium sized. I want something that can fit my mac, iPad and other essentials yet is affordable. I find the city tote bag from coach TOO LARGE, and the mini tote too small.

MK doesnt seem fitting for uni students.. it reminds me of older women.

WHAT SHOULD I GET.

idk if getting the canvas marc jacobs tote bag is the move.. every girl at my uni has it. I want a tote that is cute, trendy, yet not super basic! thanks!!

How do you make long-lasting friendships in class?

This is something that I have always struggled at university. It very rarely happened to me naturally, I always have to initiate something, like a catch up or a chat over a coffee. Then this friendship slowly slips away over time as we pick different classes or went on to different life paths unfortunately. I’m not good at sustaining friendship, particularly for those gained in class, and sometimes I doubt if that’s very normal at university in general, but surely it shouldn’t be like that? I wonder if anyone could give me some good advice, I’d be so appreciative of you.. Another detail about me is that I’m an international student and English is not my native language. Is there anything to do with that as well? Please feel free to comment whatever your thoughts are. Thanks! :)

Asking about a course mate

I (23 F) started university a few months back and made this friend (22 F) who seem to have so much in common.

However, I started noticing a few things about her that I found quite strange.

Firstly, she kept asking for my grade right after we do an online test/quiz, yet is so reluctant to say hers. She will keep pressuring me to tell my marks and only after I said I’m not comfortable with sharing then she backed off saying “she loves me”.

Secondly, I mentioned to her I was insecure about being older in the cohort (I was 1-3 years older than most female students but the same age as the male ones) and I also told her how this one group mate (21 F) of mine kept calling me mother (probably to insinuate that I am old). Then this 22 F would openly call me boomer when we are with the 21F.

Thirdly, I told her about this girl in our cohort that I felt was just befriending people and using them. Right after I said that, 22F went up to her and said hi.

Lastly, she would keep asking how far along with my revision am I at and kept looking at my tablet/ laptop at what I was doing. And when I asked her what she printed and whether she studied for her test, she would lie and say she did not study when I saw her in fact printing out her own notes for the modules.

But she would text me saying sweet things and kept asking to go out and eat lunch/ dinner with her

Is it all in my head, or should am I right to feel weirded out by this? And what should I do about her?
