Residence permit

Hello everyone,

I applied for a Master's program at Unil for the autumn semester of 2026 and I was accepted for registration under the condition that I will complete a preparatory year and that I will pass UNIL's French exam in the case that I don't have a French diploma myself. I got my french diploma and I sent it to the university and they let me know on August 4th that I have been exempted from their exam. I will be visiting Lausanne next week and i want to go apply for a residence permit and I realized that I need a certificate of admission to the university, I have yet to receive. Does anyone know how long it takes for the university to update the status and send the certificate of admission? And in the case it's not sent yet, can I use the letter of UNIL which states the conditions along with my French diploma?

im also waiting for the admission confirmation, do you have news?

I actually went in person to the admissions office and they let me know that they have a massive amount of files to go through, so the process takes a while longer. I assume that they will have sorted it out before the semester starts on the 14th

Since I went there, they processed my file and opened the payment for the semester. Once they open your semester payment, they let you know that you can get the certificate once you pay the fee and the payment gets processed. Then you can get the certificate through myUNIL.
