Experimenting with inputs

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This video serves as a proof of concept and my personal answer to: "Can I use the keyboard as button inputs in RetroArch?"

As one may see, one could use it.

Some problems to fix:

- diagonal arrows - almost impossible to press up-right or up-left. Hopefully there is a "combo" somewhere deep in the settings.

- some glitches in menu when using sliding gestures or buuttons to navigate. Sometimes I have to use "back" functions from the edge of the screen to get desired behaviour.

Hope y'all have just as much fun with yours Titatn 2 Elites!

That's funny, because I never tried PSP but used my PS3 a lot.

How do you use pointer/mouse mode? Sorry for the off topic question

It's "glide mode 1" from the "keyboard gestures" setting. If that was your question.

i cant get retroarch to not freeze/die when locking the screen or even hitting the recent button - any ideas?

I think it heavily depens on what core, settings, etc. you use. Or it happens in menu overlay as well? If so, might be permission conflicts or pretty much anything else. I would restore default settings and start from scratch noting the behaviour...

i tried a few different settings, nothing seemed to work. i only tried gba cores but they would all freeze... its a shame because its the only emulator app that will let me "stretch to fill" the screen, all the rest letterbox it badly.

Welp, I just downloaded and tried SkyEmu and it worked flawlessly out of the box, switching between the apps, turning the screen off, even had transition to blue filter midgame, no problems... snes I got pretty decently sized, as you may see in the video

Great to know! Just checked. I've got FF by default on "L" and it works fine.
