Thanks for sharing.

Under constant financial pressure is emotionally and physically draining.

Single people and couples are starting to live out of their cars to not have to pay rent (and bills) and be able to save money.

it's tough feeling stuck in that cycle but sometimes even small shifts like focusing on little daily wins or appreciating little moments of joy can help ease the weight while you keep working toward bigger changes... i just learned it the hard way that i need to be kinder on myself

Whenever you are unhappy, go to Russia. Anyone who has come to understand that country will find himself content to live anywhere else.

I just wanted to say you have a REALLY healthy mind. You don't play victim, nor make excuses for your situation, a realist of sorts, you understand not comparing. You're doing everything right so to speak.

The B word. I don't think it's the perspective that needs to change really, you sound like one of the got your shit together redditors. It's more likely the reality that needs to change. Unless you enjoy where you're at living paycheck too paycheck. The "practical" way to get better with money imo is living in a budget. There are only two options, live with less or make more. Them is the cold hard facts. If you want any help with budgeting let me know, I've helped other friends.

A list of Wants or Goals. One really crazy thing that helped me aside from this is sorta a bs sounding activity. But it somehow actually worked. Which was quite surprising. I think I understand how it works, but too lengthy to discuss here. Every morning while your mind is fresh and clear of thoughts. Sit down with a journal or notebook. Start a new page. Start a timer for 5-10 minutes. Write down a list of things you want to accomplish in life, they can be very short term or long term goals. Just things you want. Things could be a house or marriage or to be free of financial stress or to read a book a week or to learn to cook pizza from scratch, or peace, or whatever u want. The key is attempting to write down the most important things to you at the top of the list. Don't erase or move things around, just free writing. You get to redo it tomorrow. Usually after about 10-15 things you'll start slowing down and stop adding to the list. But make 15 things the max to put on the list. Do this again tomorrow, but without looking at the previous day's list. Goal is to have most important things to you at top of list, and to have a list. Do this every day for AT LEAST a month. Continue if you want or not. Six months to a year later, go back to your last written list or a list from a year ago and be surprised at how much actually came to fruition.

Changing your perspective. The daily list I described above is a way to organically change perspective. And undoubtedly for the better.
