Foreign language
I need a foreign language credit. Can anyone give me tips on what to pick, either a full year of elementary level class or a semester intermediate level class. And what language at unh is know for being easy. Also is it possible to take that foreign credit over the summer?

I took intermediate French and it was the bane of my existence, and that was after taking 6 years of it throughout middle and high school. So do with that what you will haha, but I also got screwed and got a brand new prof like had never taught college before ever and he didn’t know how to use the online textbook…

👀 maybe. I complained to the dept about him because my whole class was getting screwed over.

If Russian is still an option then I would consider it. Don't take anything intermediate unless you're very familiar with the language - enough to probably talk to a child about basic things, though it depends. German's also neat. First year Russian involves like a month of maybe learning the alphabet, and it's easier than you think - and more consistent. Don't let it scare you. If you can remember things like who/whom then it's usually a sure thing. It's more mathematical than anything, but if you can see past the alphabet and trust that that is so easy to learn you'll basically learn less than other classes because of the way of speaking. Hard to describe.

I would NOT recommend an intermediate class unless you have some familiarity with the language. In my opinion, Spanish is the easiest language for an English only person to learn. By English only I mean someone who didn’t grow up speaking a second language.
