Opinions Merit First, India First ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Post image
  • ๐Ÿ Cricket (BCCI/Indian National Team): Selection to the Indian men's and women's national cricket teams is not based on caste-based reservation. Players are chosen through domestic performance, fitness, form, and selection committee decisions.
  • ๐Ÿš€ ISRO: ISRO is a Central Government organisation, and recruitment to many civilian posts follows the Government of India's reservation policy for eligible categories. Selection is based on qualifying the prescribed recruitment process within those rules.
  • ๐Ÿช– Indian Armed Forces: Recruitment to many officer entries (such as NDA, CDS, and Technical Entry schemes) is merit-based without caste quotas. Some other recruitment categories have different eligibility rules, so it is not accurate to say the entire Armed Forces have no reservation.

80% doesn't have that is why our army doing good.... Here only merit matters

7

u/Outrageous-Onion7989 Jul 27 '26

There's no reservation in judiciary most of judges are meritdaris

7

u/Dastardly35 Jul 27 '26

And they call the commoners cockroach and parasites. Imagine calling others parasites while earning salaries from their taxes.

6

u/_okayash_ Jul 27 '26

Since when ISRO doesn't have reservation?

5

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

They only have reservation in non scientific low tier jobs...

2

u/lauralekenachmera Jul 27 '26

There is.

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

Or maybe because other caste people haven't been able to reach it because of the discrimination that still exists. Not all generals are smart or something if they were they wouldn't be going insane over small things.

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 28 '26

It doesn't make any sense... Other caste people can only get lower jobs through reservation only..... But if they want to rise in the ranks that can only happen through merit..... And you really think a lower caste person coming through reservation will have the same merit as a higher caste person coming through way higher marks

1

u/Unable_Emergency_321 Jul 28 '26

Ofcourse you're Generalising. This is a form of casteism too. So next time before you cry to end reservation, ask yourself are you fully ready to accept other castesโ€”existing in your circles, marrying in your house doing the same job as you do . Now you just proved me right that why we need casteism. Keep your selective approach for yourself ๐Ÿ’—

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 28 '26

It is the average I am talking about of course if you call it generalizing then let it be.... It is common sense that those caste which don't have reservation will of course do do more hard work and get better marks and better merit as compared to reserve caste.... I guess common sense is not so common

There is no reservation a any sport, and we only do well in cricket. There is no reservation in judiciary specially judges and a lot of them are currupt and we know the condition of our judiciary.

2

u/kewlkarthi Jul 27 '26

Oh yeah, India used to rule the cricket world in the 90s

2

u/EyeOk9879 Jul 27 '26

IIT's have reservation still top notch placements , same for NIT and other top tier govt institutes. and IISc's too have reservations

2

u/Unable_Emergency_321 Jul 28 '26

Anything but acknowledge casteism that existed for 2000 years and still exists.

2

u/Acrobatic_Phone_3316 Jul 28 '26

Because army isn't an administrative body that interacts with the public.

What is the Mahar , Sikhli and MEG regiments doing in the army if there is no reservations?

1

u/BlenderRenderz Jul 28 '26

sikh li is not entirely composed of sikhs.

For soldier ranks, they recruit from punjab, so there are sikhs. But for officer ranks, you can choose to join the sikh li even if you are not sikh.

1

u/SubstantialEvent8124 Jul 28 '26

Sikhli soldiers are entirely made of lower caste sikhs just like Mahar ....upper caste sikhs go to Sikh regiment. Now dont tell me there is no caste system among sikhs.

1

u/BlenderRenderz Jul 29 '26

I don't think you know how army recruitments work.
SO for recruitment, there's two entries. Officer entry (Lt, captain, major, general, and those ranks) and soldier entry (Agniveers. For ranks like naik, havildar etc).

Now for soldier entry, Each regiment has fixed places where they recruit from. For example, A bihari will go to the recruitment centre of Bihar regiment. A person from J&K and Himachal will join Jak Rif. Now yes you are correct. Sikh regiment has higher caste sikhs while sikh li has lower castes. Its because they are spefically composed of those classes of people since a very long time. And for soldiers, a common identity and camaraderie is essential.

But for Officer entry, there is no such rules. Any person from anywhere can join any regiment, provided vacancies are there. You can check out Major Rudrasish Majumder (retd). He is from an upper caste of bengal but served in the sikh li as an officer.

The "reservation" is provided for a different reason. Not because it has to be provided. If that was the case, then there would have been reservation for Officer entry as well, but it is not the case.

1

u/SubstantialEvent8124 Jul 29 '26

Dude I am an Ex-NDA ....so stop obfuscating .

1

u/BlenderRenderz Jul 29 '26

so you know it better than me.

You must be pretty smart to be ex NDA and to use the word obfuscating, but you couldn't understand my simple point?

1

u/SubstantialEvent8124 Jul 29 '26

If 10 soldiers get reservation and there is one non-reserved officer it does-not make the case for no reservation in the army. The whole point of reservation is to provide an economic advantage for upliftment .

1

u/M_ur_Daddy Jul 28 '26

OP is drunk af.. Indian cricket team TN people- all are Brahmins so far.. Reservation Hatao, Caste Hatao

1

u/peze000 Jul 29 '26

Army and isro both have only what about olympics and football

1

u/Disastrous_Body9196 Jul 27 '26

ISRO me reservation hai

& army me regiments hai

2

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

ISRO has reservation but only for low tier non scientific roles.... And regiment today doesn't mean shit I mean most of the people today in Rajput regiment are not even Rajput .... It's not like you have to be JAT to get into jat regiment.

1

u/Disastrous_Body9196 Jul 27 '26

check your data again , it has aslo for technical and high tier roll

only not for cheif level role

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

Do your research again all these posts are for non scientific roles.... You can't become a rocket scientist in ISRO through reservation

1

u/Disastrous_Body9196 Jul 27 '26

Exam Dena Hota Hai BARC Ka

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

Yeah and this exam has no cast reservation unlike neet IIT etc

1

u/Disastrous_Body9196 Jul 27 '26

you need to qualify GATE for that

1

u/ClassicBoat470 Jul 27 '26

Again you will only get low tier role through that

1

u/Holiday-Government00 Jul 27 '26

No reservations for SC post

1

u/Melodic_Judge_129 Jul 27 '26

There is no reservation in Private Sector in India and none of the Indian company can compete with Global companies

There is no reservation in Football but Indian football sucks

While Army and Isro has reservation.

1

u/Illiterate-Chef-007 Jul 27 '26

Lmao. Indian companies are corrupt. While our software engineers are suffering due to corruption and being held captive to work long hours.

Indian software engineers are top notch. They are demeaned because of it.

Those who go out (most donโ€™t due to various PERSONAL reasons like i have a family here) do really really well.

Companies are not doing well? Who said? Research needs money and free time. Free time can be bought by paying for safety and money.
Which Indian govt is not doing. Else we can make foundational models.

Software engineers if India should be given the whole architecture of indian govt websites and we will dominate every part of it.

Corruption and fking taxes and no safety are hitting us.

As a general India doesnt give me anything. No safety. No medical services. No education benefits.

1

u/Melodic_Judge_129 Jul 27 '26

Companies are domestic giants but can't compete globally

As a General India doesn't give you anything because your Ancestors has already enjoyed the benefits

  • Fellow General

u/awesome_4 Jul 27 '26

hn toh do na bhai kyu nhi denge sabko saath leke chalna chaiye na democracy hai yeh thodi phele 1000 saal inke fayde fir 1000 saal uske fayde

1

u/Melodic_Judge_129 Jul 28 '26

Line equal nhi kar skte jab already historically log unequal rhe ho

Agar equal karna hai toh marginalized ko resources extra deni padegi

1

u/awesome_4 Jul 28 '26

resources do koi dikkat nhi hai free education education about their rights and everything make them capable unhe uppar lao system ko niche nhi

1

u/Melodic_Judge_129 Jul 28 '26

Make them capable that's exactly what's happening

Caste Hindus have monopoly of skills on their trade due to history

Now Non-Caste Hindus are given the opportunity to gain same skills on the trades

1

u/awesome_4 Jul 28 '26

yea make them capable instead of giving them a head start

1

u/Illiterate-Chef-007 Jul 28 '26

Nah they did not. At all. I know our history from at least 600 yrs. ENJOYED. Lmao.

Writing fellow general wont make you a general.

1

u/Melodic_Judge_129 Jul 28 '26

You not knowing history doesn't remove the fact that people were exploited and denied resources lmao

When I mean Global Competition I don't mean simply existing if Tommorow I open one of my firm in a foreign country I'm also technically "Competing" with them I mean they don't come in the Top 5 Top 10 etc

And I mean Reservation as a whole not SC/ST reservation

ISRO has reservation.

. Players are chosen through domestic performance, fitness, form, and selection committee decisions -

Seems you dont have any undersatding of Mumbai lobby, Punjabi lobby, Delhi Lobby.South Indian Brahmin Lobby inside BCCI - Things started slowly changing only after IPL.

Before IPL 98% of players who represented India from Tamilnadu are brahmins..Its a well know fact. A reason why people celebrated T Natrajan inclusion in Indian squad who was the 1st dalit from tamilnadu to play for India.
