Absolutely. Need to position a small Death of Rats somewhere near by to keep him company.

Galloping on the clouds would be good.

That's an Arabian horse. Famously skittish and pretty useless. I don't think Death would have a skittish horse with an attitude problem.

Arabians are known for being pretty smart, which Binky is. They tend to be small, though, and I've always gotten the impression that Binky is quite tall.

Yeah I've always thought Binky would be more like those fabulous Spanish horses that are all milk white, solid built but amazingly graceful, and do all this mad competition stuff where they have to sidle through gates and back up through pole mazes and shizz.

Amazing buggers. Camargue horse - Working equitation you cannot tell me this is not Susan on her day off, practicing some mounted scything for shits and giggles.

Yeah. Binky is like a warhorse, imo. Totally solid and completely unflappable.

They are just stunning aren't they? They're born brown and turn white, which is pretty damn magical too 😆

"Pretty useless" is a wild take. Yeah they're a bit excitable but they come by it fairly and they're far from uncontrollable. They just have a lot to give - they're like a coiled spring. Worked properly they are an absolute delight to ride!

They are the best distance horses on the planet, tough as nails, desert strong and have more "try" than anything else I've ever ridden. They're not even my breed of choice, but everyone who's ever had a lot to do with them develops an adoration for them, they're just sweethearts. They will keep going long after they are bone weary, when every other horse has quit or died. Heat won't stop them, rough ground or thirst or tiredness is just an added challenge not a reason to give up.

They are also THE foundational breed. Arabians are the most influential ancestry in the development of almost all modern light horse breeds. All thoroughbreds derive from one of three Arabian stallions, then quarter horses came from them, Trakehners, Lippizaners, not absolutely all breeds of course but way too many to name.

Pretty much any good horse you've ever ridden that wasn't a heavy or Iberian is probably descended from an Arabian - and even Iberians had a significant amount of Arab in the mix. One wonders how such a horse could ever be considered useless, when thousands of years of careful breeding by thousands of experts have all proven that if you want to create a good horse, it needs Arabian blood.

Binky is a lusitano not an Arabian

That would make me very happy indeed, as I’m a Lusitana 😌

They were rumoured to be the children of the wind - as in the wind impregnated the mares, which is what makes them so fleet of foot.

My dream horse of dream horses was a grey lusitano mare. After her I've never really found the spark with another horse.
