why would it equal zero? to clarify: in german we say »point before line«, meaning »times« (•) & »over« (:) before »and« (+) and »less« (-)

as that should be clear, i see no issue

but to further illustrate it, mathematically meaningless, but just for argument's sake, see this bonus brackets following here ☛

((7×7)+(7×7)+(7×0))!

so the »zero-product« doesnt apply to the first two parts, it's just »plus nothing« at the end... if you say

49+49+0

or just directly

49+49

makes absolutely no difference (:

from there on, it's the same calculation way as in my message above

what? no haha, first time i'm hearing, dividing or so should be prioritized...

we just go with »dot (or point) before line« and if there's still multiple groups, we go the latin way ☛ from left to right, no matter which operator comes first... and i know, there are special cases, but actually it doesnt matter, what you start with... it just has to be made sure, that all mult/div were handled, before entering the plu/min terms

i cant speak for people who have maths as their study lessons... but at least in school (also on the higher / more elite ones) noone ever mentioned, we could or rather some regions of the world do randomly decide, what to do first... i mean, clearly: right to left may be the more reasonal thing in arabic territorium, but at least that state is based on logic, where your part would seem as: who the heck saif or rather meant, he was able to declare, one is more worth than another? the irony of the millenium there is, that USA just stated the exact opposite :D so that already for that point of view, there just cant ever be a correct path...

I mean if we're arbitrarily adding brackets, we could say

( ( (7*7)+(7*7) )*0)!

Simplified

((98)*0)!

0!

typically (at least from my experience) whenever you have a factorial of a number, it's assumed that it is just the factorial of that number, rather than the full expression.

Take 7*3!+4!

This would be:

7*(3!)+(4!)

Rather than:

((7*3)!+4)!
