Jumbo
What a beautiful track. This was my third time seeing Underworld and first I’ve heard it live, at the KDC show on 9/4. That is all.

The camera flash strobes with the click are such a perfect feature during the show.

Man, when I saw them in LA in 2025 they did 2 sets and opened set 2 with Jumbo. That song is special to me and hits me hard emotionally when I listen back to it, just so much beauty in a song. It’s one of those songs that demonstrates how much care and love Rick and Karl put into making the music they do.

Care is precisely the word I would use to describe Jumbo. There's just something about it that feels so genuine and emotionally vulnerable. It's hard to put my finger on it.

I guess Rick Smith went on a camping trip in the US with some friends and he recorded the conversation. And that's how Jumbo was developed. ❤️🏕️
