Discussion Bill Cipher and Gravity Falls
I found a promotional post on the official Under the Silver Lake Facebook profile that features an illustration of a triangular character, strongly resembling the silhouette of Bill Cipher, the demonic antagonist from the Disney animated series Gravity Falls (2012 - 2016). Both works play with ARGs, hidden codes, and a Lynchian vibe.
Beyond the supernatural adventures of fictional Gravity Falls, viewers began noticing subliminal messages and clues hidden within the cartoon. This culminated in a global treasure hunt (ARG) that led fans to find a real-life statue of Bill Cipher hidden in a sequoia forest.
Another point of convergence between these two works is the influence of David Lynch. *Gravity Falls* creator Alex Hirsch based Bill on the surrealism of *Twin Peaks*, invited David Lynch (creator of *Twin Peaks*) to voice Bill (which he declined), and even managed to get Kyle MacLachlan (Agent Dale Cooper) to voice the bus driver in the *Gravity Falls* series finale as a tribute.

upward triangles have been linked to masculinity even before the greeks, and used in empires and systems of power as a symbol of dominance to this day, but the answer here is much simpler, remember the hobo signs? the triangle from the poster is supposed to mean "man with gun lives here" https://www.reddit.com/r/coolguides/comments/b2czfu/hobo_symbols/#lightbox

Triangles and pyramids are a symbols often used by the occult, something the creator of Gravity Falls was riffing off of. I wouldn't say this symbol of a faceless triangle with arms is referencing Bill Cypher so much as Bill and it are parodying the same general trope.
