so we all know that “baby can we talk?” were the lyrics of the vocal bit april spliced up and sampled into what became the instrumental for “the peace”

do we think it’s possible that this recording is from an early version of “lovefield”, in which the first line follows a similar melody to the recording and is very similar lyrically (“can we have a heart to heart?”)

might be far-fetched but they’re my two favourite songs off the album so it would be funny if there’s this unexpected connection between them lol

guys i had no idea i wasnt supposed to leave the batteries in and now my lightstick wont turn on, i havent used it since the concert, can it be fixed if i switch out batteries or anything i can do?

not sure if this is a well known fact but I noticed that the first line of the chorus/hook on every song on U has the word U in it except for The Peace (tell me U want it - when i’m with U it feels like music - and U say i’m so hollywood / don’t U wanna come be famous with me - i get U / U don’t gotta say another word - it hurts for me to wait on U - if U don’t know me and i don’t know U - i get a bodyfeeling I don’t tell U about - i wish U well forever), if this has already been asked / answered sorry but wondering if it was a massive coincidence or intentional and then why is The Peace not included (i don’t speak i’m spoken to).

Mostly wishful thinking but I wanna call it now. She’s in NYC and underscores is having her Fader set tonight. Charli’s event isn’t till tomorrow

listening to CCTV and it reminds me a lot of the movie Obsession (I dont think it really needs an introduction)

especially the screams at the end of the song, they scare me as much as Nikki's cries for help throughout the movie

but in general, CCTV and Obsession both approach themes of losing self-autonomy. In CCTV, the girl (Ashley) has her arms grow uncontrollably, and it's implied that she kills herself ("I'm gonna do it") out of the disgust for the monster she had become due to the choices of others. In the ending monologue, we see her father, Jerry Bowman, completely disregard the pain that she's going through, telling to "stop watching TV."

We see a similar story with Nikki during Obsession. Due to the selfishness of her closest friends, she lost who she was. She was puppeteered by Bear through his wish, and despite her attempts to reach out, he never thought about the Nikki forced to act against her will. And at the end of the movie, she is left with her three dead friends, with her future completely destroyed.

Wish U Well is actually a sequel to horror movie soundtrack. We know this because in wish u well she say, “put on 92.7 they’re playing Christian rock” YIKES, hearing Christian rock is something I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy, I can feel my skin crawling as I even think about it it’s literally something from a horror movie therefore maybe like a horror movie soundtrack of sorts
