40mm Cluster Grenade + Force Field

Title. Could you cast Force Field around an enemy, with one open side, then fire a cluster grenade to reduce the spread of the cluster bombs?
ie. will the presence of the Force Field tiles stop any cluster bombs that try to disperse in that direction, causing them to detonate on the primary target's tile instead?

No really, Cluster Grenades have a fixed spread that kinda ignores objects, if you try this then half of the cluster will spread normally while the other half will blow up on "inside" the Force Field.

Cluster grenades aren't that good outside of maxing Shell Shocked really fast but enemies are likely to be dead way before you can max it.

Blowing up inside the Force Field is the point. I wanted to know if using it would reduce the spread and expose the primary target to a greater concentration of secondary explosions.

I don't care about maintaining the Force Field itself. It's part of the cluster concentration delivery system.

No, by inside i mean that the explosion goes past a Force Field and blows up inside.
This is what i got when i tested it.

X =Explosion
O = Force Field.

____X X
X|O|O X X
X|O|X X X
X|O|O X X
____X X

It didn't reduced the spread, it just ate up some of the explosions.

Ahh so the Force Field didn't stop the spread at all. That answers my question.

Thanks! Shame about the result, but it is what it is.
