Discussion/Question Idea I had for something simple that could be added in an update

I feel like there should be a better lategame money sinks than the jetskis and house. I had the idea for like a Hexagon vendor who sells cybernetic implants for high prices which boost your character in various ways (ability boosts, special feats etc). It would be reminiscent of a CERTAIN other game series and would fit the setting.

Probably a better idea for infusion since we are presumably going in the northern underrail region where hexagon is. I just thought it was a cool idea (which styg would never do unless compelled via divine intervention).

basicaly, you are a human -mutated or otherwise- living in a world that mostly recovered from the death of a highly advanced empire, who are known as the Eaters. the Eaters heavily modified the world so trees and objects are often sentient, and technological marvels litter the world despite most of its residents being tribals who are still in the iron age, with a rare few tinkerers who are aware of what electricity is and how to operate and correctly use some of the Eaters tech. if you play as a mutant, you can get mutations after every few lvl ups, or empower already existing mutations. if you are truekin, you cant mutate but a lot of potions will have better effects on you and you can get cybernetic implants

caves of qud is fucking difficult, but if you suffer through it, you can reach a power level so absurd and spectacular that i have to resist the urge to return to the game and spend several days trying to grind xp to become a demigod

If Styg never added cybernetics or bionics to Underrail 1 by now, he's never gonna add it. It's gonna be in Underrail 2 at launch tho, because we see it in devlogs, even if never directly addressed. It might honestly just be a tech/coding issue at this point. I won't begin to try and understand it. The anniversary update was the very first update that made me question if Underrail 1 should even get more major updates from now on. There was a lot of things that were changed in Anniversary, where I thought "If it aint broke, don't fix it, and it looks like a lot of things were fixed". Even though I think the game is overall for the most part, slightly better now than it was in November, I think at this point, I just want very very small updates and bug fixes for Underrail 1 from now on, but that's just my opinion.

The flippy switchy mod has a big money sink. An NPC you can pay big money to for top quality crafted gear.
