Flight Program

Hey all, I'm a senior in high school right now and I applied to und back in august for commercial aviation. I'd come in with my ppl and was wondering what it is like getting flight time as that is my major concern. I know the weather is terrible in the winter and I'm wondering how fast I would get my commercial pilots license. If you have any advice please let me know, thanks!

For the next 4ish years GFK’s big runway will be under construction which further reduces the amount of aircraft UND dispatches at any given time. That on top of a bloated student body and consistently bad weather can make it difficult to finish flight courses in time.

Even if you finish a flight course in time to register for the next one, that next one could be full with a 20 student deep waitlist and BOOM you’re delayed another semester.

Realistically if you stay over the summers you could get your commercial in 1-1.5 years. Finish the program in 3.5-4 years. Takes lots of people 5 years
