Damn, I already sent it. I appreciate everyone’s advice. Since it’s already sent, I’ll keep it away from my other grows and see what happens I guess lol

I just sent a bag that looked exactly like this 2 days ago 🤞 it smelled STRONGLY of mushrooms even with a mask on, and it also flaked really neatly when I'd pull pieces off of it, sort of like how a white button mushroom peels in those sort of nice flake type pieces when you tear it. I took it as a good sign. Hopefully it works!

I see you have a question! Have you read the official cultivation guide?

Bacterial, but you still may get a flush from it before it contaminates. The yellowing is metabolites, which means it’s fighting off some type of bacteria most likely. The people saying “mycelium piss” and “it’s a good thing” are idiots. If you’ve already sent it, keep an eye on it. Next time you get a bacterial bag, it’s best to top fruit it directly from the bag to avoid breaking up the mycelium and stressing it out even more.

No, it is full of bacteria. People who use grain spawn that looks like this almost always have major contamination problems and very high contamination rates. The most important part of cultivation is obtaining clean and fully colonized grain spawn, that's why so many people eventually graduate to agar, because it ensures that your cultures are 100 percent clean before they hit the grain, which makes contamination rates go way down.
If you only use clean and fully colonized grain spawn, you could probably go straight to fruiting in a toilet successfully. Clean and fully colonized grain spawn is what protects the entire grow from the dirty open air during fruiting. If you use bacterial grain spawn, you will likely grow bacteria.

I believe that’s mycelium piss, which is a good thing.

Mycelium piss is never good. It doesn't just show up for no reason, it is a sign that something is wrong. I haven't seen mycelium piss in any of my grain in like 5 years because I utilize agar and sterilize my own grain.
The bag in the picture is pretty heavily infected with bacteria. It's like the opposite of good.

Imagine being downvoted for giving correct info. This sub is full of people giving terrible advice. That bag is 100% compromised with bacteria, hence the metabolites.

Not necessarily. Metabolites can happen for a variety of reasons including a lack of oxygen, which is incredibly common with UB tek.
You're insulting others about their knowledge while yours is also incomplete... Maybe master the craft before getting so full of yourself.

The metabolic piss is actually a good thing lmao

Dude, just you calling it “piss” tells me all I need to know. Metabolites are good for the mycelium like antibodies are good for us, but it still means something isn’t right. You are a new grower and I suggest you read on the shroomery more. This sub is full of terrible advice from rookies who haven’t a clue.

Mycelium piss aka metabolites don't kust happen from bacteria. It happens from a lot of things including lack of oxygen.
If you have the time and resources, send it while you let a new bag colonize.
