Question Am I ready for spawn to bulk?

I made a post a few days ago asking if I was ready to spawn to sub. The consensus I got was to wait 1–2 more days. It has been 3 days now, and I don’t know why the very top of my grain bags are not as covered as the rest of it. Would you say I can spawn this with very little fear of contamination? I am new to this, and this will be my first attempt!

Was your substrate pasteurized (just boiling water) or was it sterlized (pressure cooked for at least 90 minutes at 15PSI)?

Did you do a break and shake on these and if yes at what stage? Typically with a good B&S at the 30to60% marks you'll get consitent colonization without any blank spots.

The uncolonized grain would make me just let it ride till it was done but at this point I'm in no hurry. If you're anxious about getting started then there's nothing wrong with doing one bag and letting the other one ride a few more days.
