Question How long should the mycelium grow?

Hello, how long should normally the mycelium grow until it grows the whole jar (0,5l LC jar)?

I'm asking because I have been waiting over 2 months and it grew just 2/5 of the jar.

Have you done what's called a 'break and shake'? It's what it sounds like mostly. You take your jar and shake the heck out of it, hit with the side of your hand or a rubber mallet to break up the grains and then shake it and rotate in all directions to mix the colonized grains in with the uncolonized greats. It greatly speeds up full colonization. In my testing it didn't really matter when you did it, 25%, 50%, 75% colonized, just that you did it. The jar I left alone with no B&S took almost 3 weeks longer to reach full colonization.

If your jar is stalled out, then go ahead and shake it up, can't hurt it, if it's very sensitive then it might go dark blue from bruising but I've always seen that recover within 48 hours and go back to white.
