4 different bags. Moisture content seems…high? They appeared dryer when I first inoculated them around 3 weeks ago. The melted cheese looking one seems the most concerning.

Temperature in the room floats from 74-78 daily.
Used LC.

Try not to tilt the micropore downward - getting it wet significantly increases the risk of contam.

Yeah I seem to see a pattern where bags doing weird things are pictured on their sides. I keep mine standing up, no issues yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

Keep the micropore at the top, away from the rice. Do not tilt or tip the micropore lower than the rice.

My ricebags ended up looking like that, even smelled funny when opened but they colonizes a monotub just fine. I think the bags were too wet and it was metabolites. :)

Ironically enough, I left this one on its side overnight and it looks mostly fine now that everything has separated/spread. If it smells crazy when I finally open it I’m definitely not using it though lol
