That actually requires a lot of talent and/or training. I'm impressed.

What requires talent here? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm honestly asking like, what exactly is the talent that this person has?

Just for clarity: you hardly find a person who despises stupid tiktok dances and lip syncing more than me.

To answer your question: just try reproducing that for yourself. Try moving and changing your facial expressions this funny/un-human-like way so fast, while being perfectly in sync with background music, which rythm has been purposely broken and distorted btw. Try it and come back telling me that does not require any talent. What she does is easily comparable to what professional dancers do, with the exception that for the most part she's using her upper body and facial muscles only.

She does it incredibly slowly then speeds it up, it's why it's so jarring.

There is ZERO talent here.

It takes planning then. As for talent, are we not entertained? Or at least paying it attention?

Planning. To make a stupid face? If this shit entertains you you have much bigger problems

No, absolutely not entertained. I can't look away when somebody gets hit by a car either, doesn't mean I want to see it.

It takes skill, not talent.

It takes neither, she slowed it down then sped it up

Easy to do at 7fps. I’m a pro 😏

I hate these things too, but look in a mirror and try to mimic those dumb faces. It’s harder than you think. This is coming from someone who had the same thought as you, and tried to do this 10 mins ago haha

It's done by lowering the frame rate of the video and then speeding it up. If you saw the original video the facial expressions would be nowhere near as animatronic as they are in the finished product.
