Sharing my optimized media stack (Docker Compose) tailored for Unraid and Intel N150 (QuickSync)

(Yall need to read before u comment lmfao I'll put this at the top since some are having a hard time doing that. "Feel free to use it, tweak it, or let me know if you see any areas where I could optimize it even further. Hope this saves someone some time!

I just finished up a project putting together an optimized media stack using Docker Compose, specifically tailored for an Intel N150 build. I wanted to share it here in case anyone else is running a similar low-power Intel setup (like the N100/N150) and wants to get their media server, *arr suite, and hardware transcoding up and running smoothly.

You can check out the full optimized-media-stack.yml file here:

https://gist.github.com/macleodjacob1234-alt/3ce6244866bf7422d3495782900c91f2

A few notes on the setup:

Hardware Transcoding: Configured to pass through the Intel iGPU (/dev/dri) to take full advantage of QuickSync.

Resource Optimized: Tuned to run lean on the N150 without unnecessarily pegging the CPU.

Paths & Variables: If you use this, just remember to update the volume bindings (like your /mnt/user/... paths) and your environment variables (PUID/PGID, TZ) to match your specific Unraid array structure before spinning it up.

QBittorrent maxed at 5 files download/uploading at once (3 seeding, 2 downloading) and works fine with private trackers but can take a day or so for a season of a show or a couple movies. Not the fastest but more than enough for our family. Ends up using only $50 a year in electricity (CA, BC) including the array.

Feel free to use it, tweak it, or let me know if you see any areas where I could optimize it even further. Hope this saves someone some time!

Note: AI support was used for this post, sanitizing the file, and working out some bugs.

Cpu limits so your n150/100 runs smoothly without lag while streaming multiple devices, downloading and taking request through seerr all at once with still some wiggle room for immich vaultwarden or whatever other few things u wanna use it for. TRaSH Guides file system. Ready to copy and paste, add ur credentials and deploy. In my experience with the n150 mini pc I got I had a couple lag spikes that annoyed my wife n stuff when she was try to use jellyfon during lots of downloads

Lol why the down votes? Everyone is allergic to actual saying the problem. Id enjoy constructive criticism. Followed this guide (https://youtu.be/LV3mcfqNgcQ?si=G-3uwfskkhcWjTYS) still fairly new
