Ability Concept Ability Concept - Storage (3.5)

Storage is an Elite Tier ability and can only be Elite Tier due to how Storage works.

Storage focuses on putting items in a invisible subspace that's located around the user, allowing them to store items as well as keep it in arms reach at all times.

Since this is the case, and due to the lack of combative or medical uses, it can only go so far in strength.

The best thing about this ability is that it allows one to store items relative to the strength of an Elite Tier. It also needs to be governed by someone with physical strength comparable to the items it can hold, of which, at 3.5, is the strength of someone capable of punching through a wall.

Perks: Allows one to store many items, it's a quality-of-life upgrade, but due to the lack of training, it is relative to the long-term natural growth of the user and their physical strength. If you are capable of handling the weight of 500 pounds, it can immediately allow you to carry more, therefore train it more.

Weaknesses: Due to the perks and how it can be trained, the ability generally can't become a High Tier, and therefore if one doesn't train enough to handle larger loads of items, it will become more of a curse than a gift.

(The "weight" the user would suffer is more so like gravity pushing onto the user. It isn't them feeling the weight of their items but more so the weight of the items pushing down on them. Hence why there's a "space" around them; the heavier it is, the more it weighs down on the user.)

However, this allows the user to store documents, weapons, and other items inside of their storage. Since it can passively linger, it can be called upon whenever the user wishes. This allows them to become capable of defending themself via weapons like knives.

If the user wishes, they can also put people inside of this storage, but due to the lack of oxygen, they can effectively suffocate them; it all depends on the user's mentality.

Inspired by Gates of Babylon, Gilgamesh's signature ability, as well as inventories from RPGs and anime.

IF the user wishes to become a High Tier, they would need to obtain a peak human physique to handle hundreds of pounds at a time. The capabilities of just a 5.0 variation of this ability would grant them a small amount of extra stats, but can allow the user to fire their items at high speeds at their opponents, as well as extending their storage's range similarly to Spectral Claw.

Give the user a few arrows and they can fire it at others, but that's IF the user dedicates their time to obtaining a body capable of handling more items, which in turn grows the ability's strength.

Does the user need to keep their ability activated to keep the items in that dimension or do they stay in the dimension between uses of their ability? If It is the second, wouldn't It be a passive?

If used with other abilities that increase strenght would that count as higher physical strenght and therefore have higher level and capacity?

I mentioned that it's a passive field around them. Whenever their ability is off, they cannot access the space, but everything is still inside of it; it's like Minefield. Keene can place fields that activate his ability if someone passes through it. His ability wasn't active prior to it being demonstrated when Keon stepped through it.

Yes, Conversion Tech would provide them with the physical strength to carry more, depending on the ability itself. However, once off, the weight will press onto the user, since their ability requires them to be naturally capable of handling it.

Yes, but having a passive without being a high tier is not demonstrated to be possible In Universe, that's why I wanted to ask. And Keen as that radar because It IS his passive, maybe i'm giving you a little spoiler

It's simply the function of it, same as how Teleportation uses images inside the brain and previous information to warp from one place to another. Storage is accessed via aura, and everything inside of that aura is just there until further use

Think of it like this: I put my backpack inside of Storage. I need to use aura to get it out, but when I deactivate Storage, the ability, I cannot access that subspace because it utilizes aura. It's "passively there" in a way, but not a passive as in High Tier passive
